This is a very old event and i realised i didn't share with you guys yet. Ok not that some of you might want to know, but its my blog so i can share whatever i want haha. On that day, Susan and I(the 2 very free persons) brought Evangeline and Esaias to Snow City. I have been wanting to go there but i never got the chance to. They used to advertise on tv on that place and it looks so fun and interesting so since we were so free we decided to bring the kids there for a try. I was very excited myself and excited for the kids as well because they haven't saw snow before so we hurried in, bought the tickets, and proceeded to choose our 'winter' jackets.
so cute!
the only one not geared up yet
Its winter time!
No photo taking was allowed inside the place itself cause they had people inside that would take professional photos for you, but ultimately, they just want to make you pay for the photos. Hmmm we were given an hour inside, but half an hour later, the kids were already freezing so we came out. It was really a very real replica of a snowy state but the place is small, and it looks kinda miserable, not like what was shown before on advertisement. All you could do was to go up this mini slope and slide down via a rubber tube, and you keep repeating the same process. Other than that, there was a very small play area with some ice figurines for you to see and take photos with and perhaps throw snow at each other? In summary, adults you might get sick of that place rather quickly; kids will enjoy, but just make sure to let them wear thicker clothings.
Next up would be our once in a bluemoon meeting with Deb and Voon. This time Deb had some free vouchers for this chinese restaurant at Heeren called Tang Dian Wang, so instead of our regular pepper lunch we 'upgraded' to something better = ) It was quite a quiet evening though, not much people were in the restaurant, but it was ok! Made it easier for us to talk and fool around.
Beautiful lightings
OUR MENU
$1 chicken with every $20 or $30 spent!
Glutinous rice with salted egg and chicken
Beehoon with duck and runny egg, very yummy!
front: dumplings with chilli oil and vinegar, back: glutinous rice dumpling-not nice
Seems like quite a bit of food for the three of us, we were pretty full at the end, but we still managed to squeeze dessert in, but 1 dessert 3 share. After the meal it was time for photos photos and photos!
Deb, me, Voon

Acting silly

Looking Ah ma-ish
Love this photo but its blur!
I always look so fat when i am next to her = (
That marks the end of our dinner. I will want to bring my parents to this restaurant in the future or suggest this place for any family dinners. Price wise it's still reasonably affordable, but some people might think beehoon with runny egg only cost 3 bucks at coffeeshops so its silly to pay 12 dollars plus for the one here. But it has duck inside ok. That was one of my personal faves that night. Oh and the drinks! How can i forget. They have homemade water chestnut and barley and stuff and it only cost $2.50! With that price we might only be able to get coke or sprite at some restaurants so go try it out. Level 5 Hereen.
March Holidays
This holiday has been of no significance to me anymore because i have been out of sec school for a very long time. But since now i still haven't found a job, and i have niece and nephews at home, the March holidays have a whole new meaning to me. Its a time where i can help my sister bring the kids out together; especially when the maid is not around, or three of them can be quite a handful. So it was off to Sentosa this time. It was my first time taking the train into Sentosa and also my first time entering the images of Singapore. I can't recall if i have been in when i was young, but it was a new experience to me.
The images of Singapore is somewhat like a wax museum, but it can be nowhere compared to the wax museum in Hong Kong or Madam Tussaude. They look quite fake and it's pretty obvious that not much touch ups are done on the figurines.
Our founders?
Haha i don't know who this is!
Hmmm....
After images of Singapore we went to Underwater World. I think for most tourist that goes to Sentosa, Underwater World is a must-see for them. I was pretty excited myself cause it has been ages since i last stepped into that place, and i love aquariums! It does look a bit different now except for the travelator part. And this was the first time i actually fed a sting ray! We bought the feed for the kids, but they were all freaked out by the huge sting rays and they were in packs, not just one on their own. In order to convince my eldest nephew Evan that it was not scary at all, i volunteered to feed first, but i tell you i was damn scared too! I didn't know if they would bite, or would they suck your whole hand in or what, but i had to act brave. The moment the sting ray came forward and sucked its food in i felt so tickled. Haha it was a very weird feeling; their 'mouths' were very soft and they really just suck the food in your hand away like a vaccum cleaner. Other than that, there was nothing really great about that place because it was very small and you won't even need to spend more than 1 and a half hours in there? I still prefer the Melbourne Aquarium more. The only winning factor is, you get to get more personal with the sea creatures at Underwater World.
The next holiday event we have in line for the kids will be a buffet at Park Roya Hotel. My sister chanced upon this buffet promotion on 8 days, where children only need to pay according to their age. For example, Evan is 7 so he pays 7 bucks only, and since Esaias is under 3 he doesn't have to pay a single cent, so it definitely a bargain for kids. Some of the food there included:
Delicious Laksa
Sashimi
Oyster Ommlette
Ba Kut Teh
Duck Noodle
Yummy chocolate fondue
These were just some of the food we had. Hmmm, more of the ones which i thought were very nice. I loved the duck noodles and sashimi best i guess, but i think i am really ageing. I could eat much more than this in the past, but as i grow older, my appetite becomes smaller. Don't know if its a good thing or not, but oh well, i am just thankful i can still eat = )
Wanting to give a kids a final day of fun before school actually re-opens, we finally fulfilled our promise to them by bringing them to the zoo. Susan and I have been discussing this like 2 months ago but we never brought the kids there, so finally we found a day where everyone was free and off to the zoo we went.
The 2 nannies for the day
Me and the little ones
Us in full force
On the tram
Feeding the kangeroos
Washing hands after the feeding session
I enjoyed myself as much as the kids enjoyed themselves. I am a fan of the zoo myself, and i never get sick of going to that place. And this time round, i got to see new places as well like the newly renovated kidz world, and this was also my first time walking throught the fragile forest and coming up close with the animals. The Singapore Zoo is one attraction which i dare to boldly say...best in the world! I guess many would agree yea?
