Nights out with Huey and Sin

For today and yesterday, i spent it mainly with Yoke Huey and Sin since we will be "leaving" each other soon. But for Yoke Huey, i will still see her in Singapore so i won't miss her that much haha, but for Sin, i think it will be a while more before i can get to see her again. So, we decided to spend more time with each other by meeting up more often. Yesterday we went to Max Brenners for dessert because the silly girl said she must try the yello granita (Lime and mint blended with ice) before she leaves Melbourne, hence we decide to grant her, her craving.

Those are Sin darling's waffle and yello granita

Monkeying around

The 3 of us
I had chocolate lick that day, good and cheap!
Pure melted milk chocolate...delicious
After our dessert, Sin came over our place and we had a good time chatting, will miss these times when i look back next time = )
Moving on to today. We went to Ying Thai for thai food! When i came to Melbourne to find my best friend Ing the other time, i already heard that Ying Thai serves very good Thai food. But throughout my whole Uni life here, i haven't tried it yet, so i told myself i must at least try it once and i did. Yay!
The queue
Me and Huey waiting for the food
The green curry was good!
Mince pork with basil leaves; super spicy
Fried vegetable with chilli paste; super super spicy! I tell you this was the ultimate. I only ate one brocoli and my mouth was in fire and i couldn't bring myself to eat anymore of it haha. We ordered Tom Yum soup as well, but i couldn't be bothered to take a picture cause the mixed vegetable thing was really too spicy.
Sin and me halfway through the meal
We didn't manage to finish the food in the end, but i have to applaud Sin. She finished the plate of vegetable, the one that i said was the most spicy. And she ate that without rice! The meal was really very filling and i felt like exploding after that, but we still went to eat ice cream. The feeling of coldness on a burning tongue felt so good....

My first horseriding experience

I had my first horseriding experience yesterday and i must say it was so fun! The experience has left me with a very sore body now; every muscle i try to use just hurts, and i can't seem to close my legs. But i still must say, it was worth it! Anyways we met at about 9.15 in the morning to get the car, and began on our long journey to the Grampians Horseriding range.

This was the car we rented, nice and big!

Driver no 1 Peiyi

Driver no 2 Yee Lin

The two most useless people in the car cause we don't know how to read the map!

Vince tried to help, but he also don't know the way haha, so he was just sleeping most of the time.

So we had to rely on our 2 GPS systems-The drivers.

Beautiful scenery along the way

Stopping by to look at the map

Driving through small towns

After 4.5 hours, we finally reached our destination. The journey was so long, and i was so excited when we reached the range. We met the instructor and signed our death indemnity forms, and began our dressing up.

Getting the helmet on

I managed to catch a pic of a smiling horse!

After gearing up and taking some photos, it was time for us to meet our horses. The horses are designated to us according to our height and mass i think. Well the taller ones had taller horses and i had the smallest one as usual haha.

Sin and Toby

Vince and Hercules

Yee Lin and The Don

Myself and Trigger

Peiyi and Sebestian

When is it my turn to go up the horse?

Finally up on my horse

After getting to know our horses, and the basic instructions on how to handle them, we began our trip through the forest trail.

Our suave instructor and his horse. I love the colour of his horse = )

We were first taught how to ride the horse on walking speed, and next on galloping speed.
The horses are trained, and they are so smart. The will stop when the instructors horse stop, and not only that, they will stop at a specific distance. When the instructor's horse gallop, the rest of the horses will follow suit too! When the horses gallop, we had to do this up down up down action, and that was super strenuous on our thighs. I got quite freaked out when my horse started galloping cause it was quite fast, but after i got the hang of it, it was so so fun! I know i will never be able to get a chance to try this again in the near future, so even though my body is aching like crap, i have no regrets.

The beautiful view of Grampians along the way

The trail lasted for about 2 hours, and halfway through i think everyone started to feel tired already. Vince even felt like puking because of motion sickness. Poor guy. It then made me wonder how did those people in the olden days use horses as vehicles to travel for days man. Won't their butts, thighs, and back ache? Anyways after we were back we had to part with our darling horses.

Bye Bye Triger

Leaving the ranch

Our dinner at Subway
After dinner, it was a looong drive back to Melbourne again. We got back at around 10 something. I will say this whole trip was perfect except for one thing. We got a freaking summon for travelling 15km above the speed limit. The speed limit was 60 and we were travelling at 75, and some police car hiding in the dark suddenly came out and fined us = ( And it cost us....

s$220 bucks!!!!

Well, Yee Lin's going to try and appeal and hopefully we don't have to pay this. Keep praying for us ok?Thanks!

Finally the last paper!

I finally finished up my last paper of my Uni life. Hmm i won't say i felt as excited as i thought i would be, but definitely relieved for sure. For the past 6 days, i have been studying, reading, memorizing and writing notes; worrying about topics that i didn't cover or am missing out on; and most importantly deprived of sleep i would say. Ok, to be fair, the nights before each paper were the worse. Even though i was asleep, my brain was still super active and thinking about definitions and concepts i studied earlier, so glad all of these are over for now.
Today was also the last day that i will see some of my Uni friends, so i decided to take pictures for memory sake = )

This is Beck, my Media Law classmate and online slacking partner from Australia! cute eh?

This is Jenny from Hong Kong.
She isn't in any of my classes but we take the same subjects and i got to know her through another friend. A very hardworking girl.
Only managed to get a pic with two of them. After the exam, i went out with another fellow Singaporean friend for a mini post exam celebration, didn't get any photos of him though, but i did for his food = ) We went to a random cafe at Lygon Street and it turned out pretty good!

Inside the cafe 1
Inside the cafe 2
I had Fish & Chips
Niceee....
and Zhizhang had a combination of pork ribs and chicken wings.
The fish was good, you won't feel sick of it even after eating a lot, and its not dory fish that they always use. Was served fresh and crispy. I tried the pork ribs and they were pretty yummy too. Sweet and well marinated. Considering that they each cost Aud 13.50 only, quite worth it right? After dinner, we headed down to KoKo Black again for desserts. The iced chocolate there is still my favourite; bought my groceries and returned home to help Yoke Huey with her truckload of laundry. See how dirty she is, so long never wash clothes haha.
Before showing you guys the laundry room, this is the place that i have been studying for the past 6 days, spending hours and hours there. This is not my living room, the place i live in is super tiny. This is the basement and it's like a common area everyone can use. In a way, i can say bye bye to that place for now haha.
The cushions are comfy
The entrance to the laundry room (duh?)
Our coin operated washing machine, 4 bucks for 20mins! So expensive.
The dryer and this cost 3 bucks for an hour that is pretty reasonable.
Huey waiting for her laundry,
and me sitting there doing nothing waiting for Huey to do her laundry haha.
Well, that's it for now. Huey is still studying because she still has 2 more papers. Remember to pray for her people cause i think she is quite stressed with it and finding it hard to memorize the huge load of information. Gonna order takeaway supper later, i am so gonna turn fat.
