I hate Connex...at times

I woke up at 7.45 am today so that i could attend my 9.am lecture. I had to go because it was a guest speaker and it wouldn't be recorded online, so despite feeling tired, i dragged myself out of bed. I left the house on time and boarded the correct timing train, but the stupid train BROKE DOWN halfway through. It managed to crawl to Flinders Street station where i could hop off and change another train. But guess what?

There were no trains i could take when i arrived. After hustling from one platform to another to double confirm that i wasn't missing any trains, it was already 9 am. Finally therewas a train departing at 9.09am. I reached the lecture at 9.30 and i felt so embarrassed when i stepped in because all eyes were on me(in a bad way) and i was just presumed late. No one knew that the stupid train broke down. This is not the first time Connex screwed up, and their trains are always late and faulty. Makes me so irritated when i am actually on time, but the train is late. But i guess it can't be help because machines are never 100% guaranteed to work, and humans will always be late. Furthermore, they are always polite to apologize to customer when they are late.
Anyway, pissy thoughts aside. I managed to meet Liv for dinner today at Me Too Cafe. What a cute name huh? Overall, service was good, food not too bad, dessert portion super big and it was just enjoyable = )

Liv and I at the entrance of Me Too

The interior of the cafe; love the way they have different colour lights reflecting off the wall
I had the Seafood Marinara and the Funghi Risotto is Livvy's
The seafood Marinara was good, but still can't compare to the one at NUSS clubhouse. That is my all time favourite spag there, i seem to be always ordering there when the family goes there for dinner. The one at Me Too had quite a generous serving of seafood, and the scallops and prawns were quite big. I loved the prawns a lot, very juciy and well marinated Mmmm...
My big scallop
Close up of it...I am feeling hungry again!
Liv loving her risotto
After our main course, it was time for us to choose our dessert. The cakes in the fridge were super huge, and i mean super so we decided to share, and i am glad we decided on that. We couldn't even finish the cake we were sharing, can you imagine if we both had one?
The array of choices, but we chose the mixed berries cheesecake in the end
Waiting to dig into the cheesecake
The big slice of cake (even bigger than a standard palm size) with a generous serving of rasberries and blueberries
Loving every bite of it
After dinner me and Liv just walked around the city. Went to this tea shop place and was very tempted to buy some flower tea leaves. It is quite healthy as their tea doesn't have caffeine and they have anti oxidents in them and in the long run, is good for your skin. I didn't buy in the end, but i think i will go back to buy it on Sunday. I should start cutting down on sweet drinks and start living healthy!
