Is this really what the "name of Islam" is about?

I just read an e mail from Stella, and yes she is right, something that will make me want to curse at them. And again, they use the "name of Islam" to convict someone of a crime, and it makes me wonder, do you really have to go to that extent to punish a person? And in this case an eight year old boy. Becuase of this stupid punishment, and let me repeat STUPID, his future is ruined. Take a look at the excerpt yourself and tell me if he deserves this.

Bloody pervert hosting the execution, how i wish he would get run over by the lorry intead.

Look that bloody pervert is like holding that boy's hand in place, how can he be so heartless????

It really hurts me to see that boy going through this agonizing act. I mean its only bread for goodness sake. Not like he killed someone. Ok fair enough he should be punished for stealing, but not this? Crippling his arm is not the way to punish a kid. At this age, they can learn wrong from right through proper teaching from parents, but according to these perverts and their laws, this is the best way. I really feel like just shouting obscenities at their face &$#$*#&$*##$*#$! And i really hope one day the can commit some MINOR crime and face such serious punishments as well, then they will know what it feels like to go through this. Bloody pissed off.

That's terrible =,(
Some people really have no hearts. They aren't human anymore I reckon?
Can I just say that this is NOT what Islam is all about? This is NOT what "Islam law" states. It is what radical and wilful interpretors of Shariah law make it out to be.
This is not a matter of religion. It is a matter of politics. These people have taken the law into their own hands and interpreted their religious guidelines in ways that will benefit their own will.
This is not what Islam is about.
This is how Islam has been abused in the hands of evil-doers.
I am not Muslim but I know for a fact this is not what most of them stand for today.
