Anyways, time for some updates of what I have been doing; this is going to be another looong entry. First things first, Chinese New year.(I know its very late, sorry!) Totally enjoyed collecting ang baos, and i have to say, i enjoyed everyone's company too. I used to find CNY very boring. The same old thing always happens on the first day- eating and visiting that same few people. Then after, there was nothing fun to do anymore. But after knowing my poly frens, we now have our own CNY celebration that makes me more excited for CNY. Oh oh oh, and i forgot our reunion dinner. We had it out this year for a change and it was at Bottle Tree. Loved the atmosphere (Wooden decor with small fishing pond outside and also a vast sight of plants and greens) but the food was not really that good though.
For the actual day of CNY, we finally didn't have to go to our Ah Gong's flat in AMK. Dun be mistaken, its not because its a flat that's why I don't like going. Me and my sis doesn't like that place because its very hot, and the place definitely cannot accommodate much people. The kids end up sweating like crap and get very grouchy because of the heat and in the end it just makes us feel very uncomfortable as well. So this year, we went to our uncle's place instead and of course my Ah Gong was there (they live together now).
Doesn't it look more comfortable?

See, he is trying to to a "twist" but with only one finger
Off to my maternal side and presenting to you the stars of the day...
And that marks the end of CNY first day. My relatives did come over to my place at nite but no pics of it though, so i might as well move on to other stuff i did during CNY. Now moving on to CNY with my friends. This year i offered my place for a few closer ones to come visit my parents. Had lunch at my place and as usual, Mr Harry was again the latest haha, was waiting for him so that we could go to his place together as well. So some pics at my place...
Off to Harry's place for celebration part 2
Can you tell the diff btw this 2 pics?
First place... we have woman in red (Susan Chia)
Second... Man in long sleeve shirt (Harry Au)
Third... Woman with only one hand seen (Stella Chan)
Fourth...Woman with half a face seen only (Giang Jiesi)
Haha Stella don't think face cannot be seen means people cannot recognise you ah, no more shu nu impression already!
Harry's mama played a very interesting game with us. She put different amounts of money in each ang bao and told us that the least was 20cents and most 2 dollars, and left us to our fate in which ang bao we would pick. After opening the ang bao, everyone was very satisfied because we all got more than expected! It turns out that the least was 6 bucks and most 10 haha, guess which one I got?
Friend no 2's house that i went to visit was susan's place, brought mei mei along with me since she is no stranger to them. So again, let the pics speak for themselves...
Yummylicious food...
Okie, that marks the end of my CNY days. I will create another entry to update more. Its so irritating to adjust the spacing in between the pics and sentences. Everytime i upload a pic the spacing goes koo koo urgh! So i will write the updates in another entry..tomorro i guess?
