The Melbourne Show

Went to The Melbourne Show with Huey yesterday. Its something like a carnival with rides, game stores, food and candy floss.I guessed the only difference is that it has exhibitions as well? Stuff like animal farms, dog shows, information booths on police and some other related stuff. Didn't get to see everything haha, cause there were stuff that me and Huey found boring like agriculture exhibition and all so yea. Let me show you what we did for the day.

This was when we just arrived. Huey was queuing for the tickets. We actually had a photo together but i don't know what happened to my camera card, that pic was corrupted so just me alone haha. It's just that particular entrance that looks quiet, but actually there are so many people inside the arena.

We went to watch some car show thingy, i don't really know what significance it has but something to do with being in the history of Australia.

This was at the police exhibition.I know i can never become a police woman because i can't even reach the floor when i am on the bike! Haha but its cool, never been on a police bike before = ) Huey refused to go on it for a photo, cause those that were queuing for the pic were kids!

We then went to the open animal farm. One of my anticipations in this show was to go look at the animals.

Baba BLACK sheep

The Lama's

You can see that the animals are behind fences but its not meant to protect them from people but just to prevent them from running out. We can pat the animals, something like an open zoo. Hmm not much animals were there though, only sheeps, lama's, and ya, i guess more of sheeps haha. But thats not all to it, there was also this enclosed area with pets inside! Dogs, cats, rabbits you know household pets and they were all so cute. Think they are also hoping that people will adopt some of these pets through the Melbourne Show. Didn't get to take any pictures there though, but i did in the animal nursery. Its another section and inside were mainly baby animals. I even got to see a sheep giving birth to an ewe! It looks kinda gross but then i am glad i saw that.

See the bloody part on the Lamb's ass? I think that is the placenta, or maybe another baby is coming out. I have no idea too; when i was there it was like that already. The little lamb that the mommy kept licking is the new born = )

There is Huey with a fake Cow. If it was a real cow, there is no way that she would stand so close to it haha. She is scared of animals! Actually cause she finds them very dirty. Even making her just walk through the petting zoo where the animals were roaming freely she almost died. She was really dying to get out of that area man. And for me, i went to take a pic with a baby lamb.

The baby lamb is real although it looks fake

Saw something that was pretty interesting on the way. Horse carts without the horse, just the seats. I think it will a cool concept if there were coffee houses like such. Don't you think so? Like open air, sitting on such seats, sipping tea.

The management were afraid people might misuse the seats so....

After a relaxing tour around the exhibitions, we went for the rides! After just taking one ride, i felt so exhuasted. I think i was physically and mentally freaked out. During the whole ride i couldn't stop shouting, and my voice became hoarse after i came down from the ride. And Huey was just laughing at me throughout the ride, so evil!! The ride was something like viking; except it goes more then 90 degrees and the seats revolve 360 degrees when its swinging.

Us in the queue for the first ride

Us after the ride.

My goodness, after that ride i told huey i am not going to try another one. And she wanted me to try even a scarier one! This one......

Can you see Huey?

There was no way i was going to go on this ride man. It goes up 360 degrees and comes back down again. Gosh 41meters high, i will surely die if i went on that ride. Its too exciting for me, i think i am really becoming old, becoming more and more of a coward haha.

Anyways while she was playing that ride, i went around to look at the game store and went to this string game thingy. I went to play that because i know that i will get a prize for sure. And the person tending the store was really nice, he gave me a discount. Supposedly one pull of a string is $4 and 10 pull's $10; but he gave me a special offer of 2 pulls for $5. Not bad right, and in the end he even gave me a nice toy-Little piglet. He chose little piglet for me because he thought i was 16 and i thought he was 28 or so when he was only 20. Ironic huh? Caucassians just some how look older then Asians.

Anyway, i ended the day with these items.

The pink colour bag you see is a showbag. One of the highlights of the Melbourne Show. Everyone that leaves the show will at least buy one bag but most end up going back with more then one. Inside the bag has like sweets, toys, mags, miniature creams, perfumes etc. It depends on what bag you got. Anyways i got this bag cause of that monkey, i wanna give that to my nephew and the little piglet to my niece = )

P.s Don't know whats wrong with the blog today, keeps having error here and there so i couldn't upload some of my pics so irritating urgh!
