After like 4 years since the last time i went on a trip with my bestie Ing Ing, we finally did it again! Actually it shouldn't be again, cause the last time trip after our O's to Australia wasn't really just me and her, there was another friend and her family so strictly speaking, this is our first trip together! I had lots of fun, especially the shopping part. Some stuff are like really cheap but you know what? I still think Singapore is the best shopping place, good quality and nice fashion. I bought mainly shoes and bags when i was there, the clothes there aren't really that nice but shoes are cheap! Those covered toe shoes in far east going for 19.90 or 24.90 can be bought at $10 bucks in HK, regretted not buying more man = (
Anyways, aside from shopping, let me show u more about my trip. This time round we took a budget airline; Jet Star Asia. Its not that bad considering it being a budget airline, even had leather seats. HOWEVER if you are travelling longer distance, i wouldn't reccommend it though, cause the seats can only be declined by so little, so it makes it difficult to sleep.
After 3hrs and 45 mins, we finally arrived at the Hong Kong Airport, picture was taken by a weird Ah pek though haha, but still thanks to him for the taking the first pic for us.
We stayed at Prudential Hotel and if you are looking for good hotels at reasonable rates this is one of the hotels you can consider. Besides, it is situated in the city and there is a train station rite below the building.
And the station is called...
Ing's cousin was wating for us at the hotel lounge when we arrived and was our "tour guide" of the day. She is such a nice lady, treated us for our first meal at a typicial hk cafe.

My yum yum milk tea! The milk tea in HK is so good!
Our food,guess which is mine?
After eating, we started our very first shopping in HK. Went to Fa Yuen Gai, translated as flower street market, something like our Bugis village in Singapore but bigger and with cheaper goods and more variety. But not everything there is cheap. There is this super fierce lady that sells clothes and accessories. Her accessories are nice but some are like more expensive den singapore, and when you try to bargain, she gives u attitude and say things like er..for example k "$5 you dun need to walk on this street already", lousy attitude woman, remember its the first store at the start of Fa Yuen Gai
After Fa Yuen Gai, we went to Loi Yan Gai which is just about a road away from the end of Fa Yuen Gai, pretty convenient huh? haha anyway Loi Yan Gai is also known as ladies market, but the direct translation is woman's street. All the street street places are where u can get the cheap stuffs so remember these places = )
After our tedious shopping day, we went to somewhere(can't remember issit causeway bay or tsim sha tsui or none of these 2 haha). Its the place where the TV/Movie stars put their handprint on, anybody know where is it?
Anyway, its now HK's 10th anniversary for something so they have this lighting event where all the buildings will be litted up and introduced by this pre recorded machine, you know something like the musical fountain show at sentosa?Yeah, its very like it, just that its much more grand and beautiful, not forgetting there are fireworks as well.

Lighting Event 2
Can you see the fireworks behind us?
Angela, me and Ing at the Avenue of Stars
These marks the end of our first day in HK. A very tiring day! Went out right after we landed and my legs were aching to the max at the end of the day, but worthwhile.
Second day me and Ing were left to explore HK on our own and we decided to go to Ocean Park. Before heading there, we went to another typical HK cafe to have brunch.
See the 2 dark brown cups? Its actually tea but i think in HK no one drinks the tea but use it to wash the utensils instead. I mean you can drink it of course, but its not the what the locals there do usually. so you are supposed to...
Step 1: Take up your utensils
Step 2: Put them in the cup and stir
As simple as that!
We ordered Wanton Noodles and toast to share. The toast is supposedly a famous snack so we asked the lady serving us give us the one most people ordered and it was..
Yummy!
Simple but nice, i think its quite fattening though haha. The wanton noodles was not that good however. Its basically like noodles with oyster sauce. Super salty, the ones is Singapore are way better.
Ok after a satisfying brunch, off to Ocean Park we go. The last time i went to Ocean Park i was only a kid, perhaps only P1 or P2, I can't remember again haha. But the feeling of going back there is rather different now. I used to be so excited about all the rides and stuff, but this time round i feel like normal. Not forgetting that the weather was freaking hot. Almost got a heat stroke, and i got to admit, i think i am growing old. That includes you Ing haha. We only took about 4 or 5 rides? And i felt sick, but partly was because of the weather and also cause of walking upslope and downslope. I think that's all excuses la, cause when it comes to shopping, me and Ing can shop for the whole day but still dun feel as tired. Oh wells.
At the entrance of Ocean Park
Why did i say earlier on that i had to walk upslope and downslope..because to get to this pacific pier thing, we had to like go up 3 or 4 escalators and long ones! Den from there we had walk downslope again to the rides, i will show u in the coming pictures, but the view from up there is really nice.
See the buildings behind? They are houses in the middle and on top of the hill. The higher you go, the more expensive!
Can you see the roller coaster thing behind? That is downhill and we have to walk all the way down if we want to take the rides there, and over there is also where the aquarium is. Tiring tiring tiring man.
So as we walked down, i was looking at the brochure for some show times. And then i saw this "take picture with the mascot thing" there and the description is something like pose with the seal and take a picture or what and there was this line that said subjected to weather and have to queue up. I was pretty excited about it cause like of course i wanna take a pic with a live seal but there were fixed timings for it so we decided to head to the aquarium first which was downslope. We walked a bit inside, but haven't covered the whole place yet but its time where the mascot was going to appear so we walked upslope and the signboard there had a different time, so we were early. Not to waste time, we walked downslope again to the toilet and went back up but the stupid mascot was not there yet. So we just sat down at the auditorium area to rest and when we were leaving, we finally saw the mascot, and guess wat?
This was the freaking mascot haha. And i thought it was going to be something alive even if it wasn't a seal. Wasted my energy walking up and down the stupid slope and weather made it tonnes worse, but well i still managed to take a pic with "THE MASCOT".
The most relaxing ride of the day was of course the ferries wheel. The view from above was superb.
Us on the ferries wheel
Thats the end of our tiring day at Ocean Park! Willl do part 2 of my trip some other time, cause i really feel like sleeping now..Zzzzz
