after a long holiday!

Firstly Happy New Year to everyone! The public holiday is sorta over so i guess everyone is back to work or studies. For me i am back at the office but this time for only 2 days and soon i will have to return to Melbourne for my studies as well.

Chinese New Year was good for me. I dunno why, but this year i was pretty excited for CNY to come. I guess its cause i was away from home and finally there is some festive season that i can celebrate, and not forgetting the fact that i would be getting extra income haha. However, i realise as you grow older, CNY is not as fun as to when you were younger. The red packets get lesser, visitations also becomes lesser, but CNY is still one of my favourite festives. Besides, this year we have another addition to our family! Baby Esiaus haha, when there are kids around, its always more exciting!

This year i guess there is something new for me because i had a extra place to go haha. Well i went to leb's mum's frens place for visitation. weird huh haha, but well his mum invited so its not nice to turn down also. It felt awkward at the start, actually throughout. I just didnt feel comfortable there. His mum was friendly so was his Dad and they both tried to entertain me and stuff but sometimes by doing so it just makes me feel even more uncomfortable haha, cause whatever they offer me, to be polite i have to accept. However, it was a good experience, cause i have never visited any boyfriend's family during CNY, so its a experience i won't forget. For now at least haha.

I guess that marks my CNY. We also celebrated Susan's 21st! really very glad that i could be around to celebrate one of my good fren's 21st. Its always fun to be able to meet frens during CNY, cause you get to see everyone in their nice new clothes and can take lots of pics. I love taking pics = ) Well the 4 of us - Mel, Amy, Huey and me got her a semi precious stone earring from citigems. Hope she liked it though, its so difficult to think of what to buy for her cause she seems to have everything, and if you buy clothes for her, she won't wear it in front of you. Weird fren of mine huh, but well, i still love her..SUSAN CHIA PEK JUAN! I stayed till like 3 or 4 something in the morn?Haha but thank God I had the car so it wasnt that bad, but I love such late nites spent with frens, seriously quality time and fun haha. Wonder when it will be the next time i can do that again...

My very first entry!

This is my first time trying to create a blog and i still dunno if i can create it successfully or not; but if you guys managed to read this den i did. haha
The reason i decided to create a blog is cause i am so bored at the office!and i just feel like talking to someone, anyone, but yet i dun wish to give full attention to the person cause i still wanna stone when i feel like it? you know that kinda feeling? but oh well, that is why i decided to start a blog. And i guess it would be good for my future career in journalism!

Anyways, talking about office. i recently landed myself as a temp receptionist at this international company. i wasnt really looking for a job but since it was only 5 days, why not? the pay is good and the fact that i have the time to write my blog in the office just shows how free i am haha. Seriously speaking i find that i am getting paid to surf the internet, but well, i shouldn't complain cause i rather not have a super heavy work load.

Speaking about the company, the boss is a freakin rich caucasian. Can you believe it, he spends like 400 bucks on the dustbins in the office and like 30 pounds on every A4 size writing pad? He even has his own air plane and air crew, and a villa in Thailand. Woo! He must be freaking loaded that he doesnt know where to spend his money. But i havent met him yet though, and i dun wish too cause he has a pretty weird mentality. Such as the cups we use for wat kinda drink has to be of this design, we can ONLY use plates with golden trimmings to put our food when he is in the office and just funny funny stuff as such. Thank goodness i am leaving before he returns.

Even the office has weird protocols and the caucasians working here are more fussy. For example, the main door in the office is remote operated, so before the person reaches the door we have to press the button to unledge the lock. If they reach the door and its not unledged by the time they reach, they wun be happy about it. The caucasian accountant in the office has complained about it before, so petty! But i seriously dun understand wat is the purpose of the remote anyway, like we dun even check identity of the person that comes in and as long as we see someone coming towards the door, we just have to open it. So why dun they just make do without the lock and things would be much simpler..haha.

Well enough of my complaints, i guess since i am paid i just have to follow what they expect. They do provide good stuff as well, like they have their own cafe so anytime u wish for coffee or hot choco you can just give a call to the cafe and they would bring it to your table. Not forgetting the food and drinks in the pantry. The fridge is stocked up with drinks like coke, orange juice, yakult, milk and its free for all staff working here, including the temp me! haha and famous amos cookies too..yum yum. so i guess there are the pros and cons = )

Enough of my babling, i am counting down till work ends..
